How to Crochet the Triple Column Stitch Photo Tutorial

This week we will add even more height to our crochet project as we learn the Triple Column Stitch crochet pattern.

Notes
This stitch is worked in rows in this tutorial and it may be worked in one colour or many. I will be working this pattern in a single colour.
Instructions
To begin, make a slip knot and make a foundation chain. For this stitch pattern, you will need a foundation chain with a multiple of 2 stitches, plus 1.
For example, ch 25.
Row One:
Sc in the 2nd ch from your hook and in each st across. Ch 4 (Counts as a tr), turn.
Row Two:
Tr in the next st, *yo, insert hook under the top 2 front loops that you see about a third of the way down on the post of the previous tr st, yo and draw up a loop, yo and insert your hook under the to 2 front loops that you see a little further down on the post of the previous st, yo and draw up a loop, insert your hook into the next sc st, yo and draw up a loop (you will have 6 loops on your hook), yo and draw through 3 loops on your hook, [yo and then draw through 2 loops on your hook] twice, tr in the next st; Rpt from * across ending with a tr in the final st. Ch 1, turn.
Row Three:
Sc in the 1st st and in each st across, ending by working your final sc in the top of the turning ch. Ch 4 (Counts as a tr), turn.
And that’s it!
For the rest of the pattern simply repeat rows 2 and 3 for the pattern. Fasten off, weave in your ends.
