Instructions

To begin we will need a chain multiple of 7+5

Row 1

Beginning with the 3rd stitch 1 double crochet in each stitch to the end of the row. Chain 3 and turn.

Row 2

Chain 3 doesn’t count as a first stitch

  • 1 double crochet in the first 2 stitches
  • *chain 7
  • skip 7
  • 1 double crochet in the next 7 stitches.

Repeat from * to the end of the row ending with 1 double crochet in the last 2 stitches. Chain 3 and turn.

Row 3

Repeat row 2. Chain 3 and turn

Row 4

  • 1 double crochet in first stitch
  • 2 double crochet in the second
  • *chain 2
  • 1 double crochet in the 4th stitch from the first row (the 7 stitches behind the chain 7). Make it over the 2 chai 7 from the previous 2 rows.
  • chain 2
  • 2 double crochet in the first double crochet after the butterfly motif.
  • 1 double crochet in the next 5 stitches
  • 2 double crochet in the last double crochet before the butterfly motif.

Repeat from * to the end of the row, ending with 2 double crochet in the stitch before the last one and 1 double crochet in the last stitch. Chain 3 and turn.

This ia the base for this stitch and you can repeat this 4 rows as long as you want to finnish your project.

To move the butterfly position begin with the set of 7 double crochet so you will have in total 9 double crochet at the beginning of this row.

Then fallow the same pattern ending the row with 9 double crochet in the last 9 stitches.

For the next 2 rows kip the butterfly pattern.

Repeat this 8 rows as long as you wish.
