Diagonal Stripes Crochet Stitch Tutorial

The Diagonal Stripes crochet stitch is a subtle, feminine, and intriguing way to add some texture to your crocheted work. I love the way the light plays off of these stitches, creating almost an optical illusion. Let’s learn the Diagonal Stripes Crochet stitch with this crochet tutorial!

This stitch is also reversible. Flip one way and the diagonal stripes will go one direction, or flip it over and they’ll go the other way. I love that both sides are pretty!

I'm having a hard time understanding the pattern. After chaining the desired length (10+4). I then dc in each st.across, Next row;ch1 & 1 sc, then 10 dc below(in the ring). Then???? Where do my next 5 DC go?

I wish for a tutorial.
