Crochet Basics: Aligned Cobble Stitch

Learn how to crochet the quirky yet simple "Aligned Cobble Stitch" with this easy to follow tutorial!

The Aligned Cobble Stitch has such a quirky, bubble-like texture about it, whilst still remaining a pretty easy crochet stitch to learn, perfect for any crochet newbies to give a go... Just imagine all the cozy blankets and sophisticated scarves you could crochet using this stitch!

If you’re starting from the beginning make chains in the multiple of 2 + 2

sc = single crochet

tr = triple crochet

Start by chaining multiples of 2 + 2 to the desired length.

Row 1: Insert your hook into the 2nd chain from the hook, sc in each chain until the end of the row. Turn.

Row 2: Ch1, sc into the ch space below, *tr into the next stitch, then sc into the next stitch*. Rep until the end of the row ending with a sc in the last ch stitch.

Continue Rows 1-2 until you have reached the desired length for your project.

Happy crocheting!
