10 Awesome Uses of Coffee Filters

Coffee filters are a must in some households for those who need to wake up in the morning. But did you know that these little filters can do more than just your morning brew? Read on to learn about some other uses for coffee filters you may not have thought of!
1. Place coffee filters between stacked plates.
This is a good tip to take to heart when packing and moving. Coffee filters will keep your plates from getting scratched or broken during the move. However, you can also place coffee filters between your stacked plates for extra protection even when you are not moving!
2. Clean mirrors and windows
Using coffee filters to clean mirrors and windows is probably one of my favorite hacks with coffee filters. Since they are lint-free, you can use them to clean and they leave a streak-free shine!
3. Clean and polish stainless steel
Just like for cleaning mirrors and windows, coffee filters are great for cleaning and polishing stainless steel. Use them on all stainless steel appliances and faucets.
4. Soak up excess oil
Have you run out of oil wipes and need one ASAP? Cut a coffee filter into small squares and use it as a face cloth in a pinch. You can also catch the oil from greasy fries or bacon. Just place them on a coffee filter to drip off excess grease.
5. Place a coffee filter in the bottom of a flower pot.
Another great use for coffee filters is to place a coffee filter in the bottom of a flower pot before adding potting soil to the pot. This keeps the soil in place, but still allows the water to escape.
6. Prevent splashes in the microwave.
Before you reheat last night's leftovers, place a coffee filter over them to prevent unsightly splatters. This will save you a lot of time when cleaning the microwave.
7. Clean your screens
Coffee filters are great for removing dust and dirt from screens big and small. Use coffee filters to wipe your TV screens, laptop screens, mobile phone screens and tablet screens.
8. Dry glassware
Sometimes my glassware is still wet when I clean out the dishwasher. Does this happen to you, too? If you dry the glasses with a coffee filter, they will be spotless!
9. Freshen the air
Another one of my favorite uses for coffee filters is as an inexpensive and toxin-free air freshener. Simply add your favorite herbs, dried flowers, or essential oils to the center of a coffee filter, bundle it up, and tie it with string. Then hang it wherever you want to freshen the air.
10. Wipe up spills.
Coffee filters are very absorbent. So if you spill the milk and do not have a towel handy, do not cry! Just take a coffee filter and wipe it up.
