It's important to keep clean air circulating through your home. The key to air quality at home is making a few small but effective changes. Here is a quick tutorial for making essential oil room sprays as easy as they are useful to help you welcome healthy, fresh air into your home.

These scented sprays are completely customizable, you can incorporate your favorite scents (for example, a rosemary blend for the kitchen or a relaxing lavender blend for the bedroom) and make them as strong or as light as you like by adjusting the amount of essential oil.

Made with simple ingredients, they will give your linens, bedroom, or even the air at home a refreshing spritz without harsh chemicals.

Choose any of your favorite essential oils and here we go!

Materials:

Spray bottles

Essential oils

Distilled water

Unscented witch hazel (or simple vodka will also work)

Dried flowers

Instructions

Step 1. Pour 25 to 30 drops of essential oil in your bottle.

Step 2. Fill the bottle halfway with witch hazel. (Note: Witch hazel helps the oil and water combine and will help the scent linger for a longer period of time).

Step 3. Fill the rest of the bottle with distilled water. This ratio works pretty well no matter which size of the bottle you take.

Step 4. Shake bottle well to combine all the ingredients.

Step 5. Insert a sprig of dried flowers and herbs to finish off your fragrant spray.

I’m partial to bergamot and jasmine, they are very nice. You can use just about any essential oil combination that smells good to you. I like to spritz different blends according to my mood, the season, or time of day.

Enjoy!

This is a good recipe for room misters… I grow Lavender, and have made this with the Lavender. Fantastic!

Thank you so much!!! Glad you liked it! Wow! Do you grow lavender at home or in the garden? :) I grow herbs, but haven't tried to grow lavender yet!
