Woven Arches Crochet Stitch Photo Tutorial

A simple stitch repeat creates a very interesting texture and unique look! You will be using double crochet, single crochet and chains to create this lovely stitch pattern. What creates the unique look is dropping a double crochet stitch into a skipped stitch from the previous row behind the chain 1. This creates the look of arches in your finished fabric.

This stitch is best highlighted using color changes from row to row. Changing colors really enhances the woven look of this stitch. However, the texture would be lovely in just one color, too.

Another fantastic thing about this stitch – even the “wrong side” looks great, too! Which makes it perfect for blankets!
