Materials

  • Crochet hook 4.5 mm or hook to obtain gauge
  • Worsted (#4) weight cotton yarn (I used Lion Brand – Re-Up yarn), total amount of yarn needed: 450gr/674m/734yds
  • 2 Stitch markers (optional)

  • 12×39.5” (30.5×100 cm)

  • Working Rows 1-9 will result in a triangle with 4’’ (10 cm) sides.

  • ch – chain
  • PM – place marker
  • LB – Large Bean: Insert your hook into the indicated st, yo and pull up a loop. (Yo and insert hook into same st, yo and pull up a loop) x 3 times. Yo and pull yarn through all 8 loops on hook.

Notes

  • To make it easier to find the ch3 / ch2 spaces at the end of the row, place a stitch marker when you ch3/ch2 at the beginning of each row.
  • The Wattle stitches are worked into the ch-1 sp.
  • The [1 sc, ch 1, 1 LB] are worked into the top of the LB/mb stitches (except of in row 2).
  • Ch-1 sp counts as a stitch, when instructed to skip sts.
  • The pattern is reversible.

Fasten off, cut the yarn, and block the table runner if needed.

Adding Tassels

Cut 48 pieces of yarn (12 for each corner) measuring approx. 12.5 ‘’ (31 cm).

Fold the 12 pieces strands of yarn in half, using your hook pull the center of the yarn through the corner of the table runner from the back side. Remove the hook and pull the ends of the yarn through the small loop, tighten the yarn tails to secure the tassel.
