- 4 Medium Yarn (Lion Brand Yarn – 24/7 Cotton in 2 colors)
Abbreviations
- CA – color A
- CB – color B
- ch – chain
- dc – double crochet
- dc3tog – crochet together 3 stitches with double crochet stitches
- sc – single crochet
- st – stitch(es)
Special Stitches
Double Crochet 3 Together (DC3TOG): Yarn over, *draw up a loop from the next st*, repeat from *to* 2 times, you have 5 loops on the hook, yo, pull through all loops on the hook.
Notes
- This pattern is a stitch multiple of 3 stitches. Add 3 for base chain.
To Make a 15 cm x 15 cm / 6 x 6 Inch Square
With the hook & yarn given, I crocheted:
- Ch 24 st, for a total of 23 stitches per row.
- 16 rows.
Instructions
With CA, ch a multiple of 3 st, add 3 for base chain.
Row 1 (with CA): Sc 1 in 3rd ch from hook, sc 1 in each ch from previous row, turn.
Row 1 almost finished, notice the final step of the row isn’t finished because we’re changing color.
Row 2 (with CB): Ch 2 st (counts as 1 dc), *dc3tog over the next 3 st*, repeat from *to* until you have 1 stitch left, dc 1 in last st, turn.
Row 3 (with CB): Ch 2 (counts as 1 dc), dc 3 in each st until you have 1 st left, dc 1 in last st, turn.
Row 4 (with CA): Ch 1 (counts as 1 sc), sc 1 in each st from previous row, turn.
Repeat row 2-4 until project is desired size.
