- Hdc: half double crochet
- FpTr: front post treble crochet: Yo x2, insert hook from front to back to front around indicated stitch, yo pull up loop. [Yo, pull through 2 loops] 3x.
- FpDtr: front post double treble crochet: Yo x3, insert hook from front to back to front around indicated stitch, yo pull up loop. [Yo, pull through 2 loops] 4x.

Pattern
Row 1: Hdc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, hdc in same st as ch 1 and each st across. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, hdc in same st as ch 1 and next st. *FpTr around next 2 sts 2 rows below, hdc in next, fptr around next 2 sts 2 rows below, hdc in next 2. Repeat from * across. Turn.
Row 4: as row 2
Row 5: Ch 1, hdc in same st as ch 1 and next st. *Skip 3 sts. FpDtr around next 2 Fptr from 2 rows below. Hdc in 3rd skipped st. Working in front of FpDtr just made, FpDtr around 1st 2 skipped FpTr from 2 rows below. Hdc 2. Repeat from * across. Turn.
Row 6: As row 2
Row 7: Ch 1, hdc in same st as ch 1 and next st. *FpTr around next 2 FpDtr from 2 rows below, hdc in next, fptr around next 2 FpDtr from 2 rows below, hdc in next 2. Repeat from * across. Turn.
Repeat rows 4-7 for until project is desired size, ending with a row 4.
